Spudders Turn to Local Leadership with Hiring of DeEdra Folmar

WICHITA FALLS, Texas – The Wichita Falls Spudders have announced the hiring of DeEdra

Folmar as the organization’s new general manager. Folmar, a Wichita Falls resident, brings a

strong local connection and a passion for bringing high-quality baseball back to Wichita Falls.

Folmar has spent years around the game through her family’s involvement in baseball and

understands the impact that baseball can have on players, families and the community. Her

youngest son, Garret Folmar, currently plays for the Spudders, giving her a unique perspective as

both a leader and a parent.

For Folmar, the opportunity to serve as the general manager extends far beyond the game of

baseball. She hopes to help strengthen the connection between the Spudders and the Wichita

Falls community by making the ballpark a place where the community can come together and

create lasting memories.

"I don't want it to just be baseball," Folmar said. "I want it to be entertainment for the

community. I want everybody to come out and have a good time. I want to see quality baseball

with good entertainment value."

Looking ahead, Folmar looks to continue building relationships with local businesses and

families throughout Wichita Falls and beyond. Through these connections, Folmar believes the

Spudders can become more than just a baseball team and serve as a source of community pride

and entertainment for residents across Wichita Falls.

As the new general manager, Folmar will oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations while

continuing to expand the Spudders’ presence throughout the local community. She hopes to build

upon an already baseball-rich community that dates back to 1920 with the original Wichita Falls

Spudders.
